Georges River Region: Community Support for Refugees

CCDP supports the Georges River Regional Council in a regional ministry of developing and maintaining a voluntary support network for newly arrived refugee families in Sydney. This involves assisting families through the process of settling into Australia and introducing them to local churches and Christian support networks. With growing numbers of disaffected youth from refugee families, this program also offers support and networking for refugee youth. The program also works in encouraging and training volunteers who are an integral part of this ministry.
