St Andrew's Riverwood: Lunch and Leisure Club
The aim of the Riverwood Lunch and Leisure Club is to reduce social isolation and marginalization of people with mental illness who live in Riverwood and surrounding communities. The target group are people aged from 18-45 years who are socially isolated by long term psychiatric disability. St Andrew’s currently employ a Lunch and Leisure Club coordinator (a trained social worker) for 6 hours per week and a Community Services worker (a former client) for 10 hours per week. Participants are actively involved in developing and evaluating the program’s activities.
