St John's Darlinghurst: Community Assistance & Partnership Program (CAPP)

St John’s aims to provide a support team for people of the Darlinghurst/Kings Cross community as they work toward solutions to the stresses of their lives. The team explains their mission as follows: “As we do this we aim to follow the example of Jesus. His behaviour toward people who were unwell, stigmatized and living in poverty showed that he profoundly valued and respected them. His courageous and revolutionary words and behaviour continually indicated his belief that, contrary to contemporary attitudes, God’s heart is for the poor and alienated, for justice at all levels of society and for reconciliation with all humanity.”
