DRC - Malaria Awareness, Prevention and Treatment

Partner: Service Medical, Diocese of Aru (2008 - 2011)

This project aims to reduce the morbidity and mortality of children under 5 years old from Malaria and its complications; increase the use of impregnated mosquito nets in the target population; and reduce morbidity from malaria amongst pregnant women.

Project activities include: mosquito net distribution; community education regarding malaria (such as film nights and drama groups) and treatment of malaria cases.
