India - Education and Economic Development

Partner: Indian Gospel League (2005 - 2011)

The Indian Gospel League (IGL), in partnership with ORAF, is running an Education and Economic Development project in 21 villages in southern India. The majority of adults in the villages are illiterate, and many of the children, particularly girls, do not have the opportunity to go to school. The project aims to provide quality education to all children through after-school tutoring programs, and to provide vocational training for youth through community colleges. Women are learning financial management skills to help improve their economic status.
